Leland Orser Childhood & Early Life
Leland was born in San Francisco, California as Leland Jones Orser on August 6, 1960. Leland and his four siblings grew up in Presidio Heights. He attended ‘Cathedral School for Boys’ which is situated in San Francisco.
For the first time, he was introduced to acting when he was in the third grade. He performed Tiny Tim in a school production of the ‘A Christmas Carol.’. Leland decided to study acting after graduating from college.
In 1984, he joined the “Drama Studio London” to hone up his acting abilities. He made some modeling appearances after graduation while simultaneously auditioning for film and television roles.
Leland’s first professional job was as a commercial for the Folger’s. The makers of the advertisement wanted him to behave like Richard Gere, but he was unable to produce it. Therefore, from the final print, he was cut off.
Leland started performing on stage along with commercials, particularly in local theatres.

After appearing on several television shows, including the “Star Trek: Deep Space Nine” series of science fiction, and three short films, Leland lastly received his big movie break.
